1/2 cup butter, 2 1/4 cups soft wheat flour, 1 1/4 cups buttermilk, 2 tbsps melted butter.
Cut butter into 1/4 inch thick slices. Sprinkle butter slices over flour in large bowl. Toss butter with flour. Cut butter into flour with blender until crumbly mixture. Cover and chill for 10 minutes. Add buttermilk, stir. Knead dough, gradually adding flour as needed. Press dough into 3/4 in rectangle. Sprinkle top of dough with additional flour. Bake at 450 for 13-15 minutes. Brush with melted butter.
