Caramelized Onion Dip

1 tbsp of vegetable oil, 2 cups onion, 2 tsps fresh chopped sage leaves, 3/5 cup mayonnaise, 3/4 cup sour cream, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, chips.
Heat oil on med low heat in saucepan. Add onions and sage. Cook until onions are golden brown. Whisk together mayo and sour cream in a bowl. Stir in onions and then add salt and pepper. Let set in fridge for 1 hour.
